What is a PDF embed code?

How do I embed a PDF in WordPress?

Add a Custom HTML block to your page or post, then paste your embed code into it. If you use a page builder like Elementor or Divi, look for the HTML or Code widget and paste it there.

Can I change the size of the embed?

Yes. The embed is a standard iframe, so you can set its width and height directly in the snippet or style it with your own CSS to fit your layout.

Do visitors need a plugin to view it?

No. Your document renders in the browser your visitor already has — nothing to install, and no reader software required on their side.

Can I update the PDF after I've embedded it?

Anywhere with an Embed, HTML or Custom Code block will take the snippet. On Shopify some themes and plans restrict custom embeds, so check your theme's settings if the block isn't available to you.
